We just got back from the Gnome Festival and it was in the most beautiful location this year. It was in the Maiella National Park and the hiking trails were stunning rock faces with moss and ivy covered trees and waterfalls. Gnomes and elves were running through the forest playing music.

The festival took place at the site of a medieval church. It was set up for a wedding but we peeked in with our cameras and curious eyes.

The scorpions are back with a vengeance. We have been hiding them from Kira but offered to show her two tonight since we leave for Milano tomorrow and she won’t be back to the house before flying home. That was a mistake. What happens if you never use the washroom? That can’t be good.
