Finally online!!

Well, we are not here to surf the net but to enjoy the beautiful sun, sea and dolce vita!!! So I can't complain. Internet connections in our little village are very limited. I have taken a gazillion pictures of our adventures and will downsize them to post tomorrow.

Our trip in was good--we took time out for a quick tour of Dusseldorf on our way in (a five hour stopover).

We had some house repairs that were unexpected but now we know how to pack things up for the winter. We have met a British family here with kids Zoe's and near Vicki's age. They have also bought a fixer-upper close by.

The gnome festival turned out to include the most beautiful production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" I have seen. The stage was the lit forest of the Majelian Mountians and the costumes were incredible. What a surprise!

This weekend we will try to catch a Byzantine Festival in Crecchio, close by, with a stunning castle.

Well, we have hot water in our shower now, thanks Dad and Sandy for the birthday euros--we think of you daily!! How civilized! Today our beds arrived, a matrimonial bed for Paul and I and a matrimonial pull out bed for Vicki and Zoe. We packed up the hammocks. We look forward to a good sleep.

I will make this more interesting tomorrow with pics.

Michele
